You will need a kennel, minus the toys-:) Notice the blanket covering the top and sides of the kennel? This helps the puppy to feel safe, like its kennel is a den.
You may also opt to purchase an exercise pen
some 550 parachute cord to make a Learning String,
a minimum length 30 ' and up to a maximum length 50' check cords (more than 1 is handy)

and a few soft, white puppy bumpers. These should be canvas and small for the puppies mouth to easily grab onto.

and a Biothane 6' 1/2" leash which you will use later for formal obedience training.

If you don't have a Biothane leash, order online. They are wonderful.
You will also need something for the puppy to climb onto to do Sits, Stands and Downs...all taught with the command, "Place"

| Thrift store 'finds' and the puppy learns to "Place" and work the Sit, the Stand, and the Down on the table, then learns "off" as the puppy gets off its training table. Do notice the other thrift store 'find' in the other room behind Iko, the bright red tunnel which Iko goes in and thru and around and around and thru again. Simple things to us, but terribly exciting to a young puppy learning through experiencing its world. |

If you're at the thrift store, buy any washable baby blankets. Lots of great training for a puppy and a grown dog.
