First update on Reggie
Hi!
Reggie is doing great so far and loves his crate. He also lovesss the moose antler. Some things that have been an issue are:
biting hands/feet
biting clothes
going crazy at night and nipping at us
overall hes been good with peeing and pooping outside, but I think that is because we take him out often. (he has not signaled he needs to go outside yet).
he yaps at us when he is in a playful mood and not getting attention
when we are sitting at the dinner table, he jumps up on our legs
This is his crate. Its located in bar room next to the living room, where my dad works from home, and next to the kitchen. It is also close to the front door.
This is the area we are taking him to go potty. It is right outside our front door, next to a little deck. He is having some trouble realizing that the GRASS is where he needs to go to the bathroom. He has gone a couple times on the rocks and on the front porch and deck.

WELCOME! Team Stanley and Team Reggie!
Team Stanley: Rich and Shelley (with Trey and Winnie to help!)
Team Reggie: Joe, Kathy, and Megan
I am so excited for all of you to start on this amazing journey towards having well-mannered, well-behaved, and obedient dogs!!! You will not regret choosing KMODT (Koehler Method of Dog Training), right Trey? 😉
An overview of The Mannerly Puppy course:
- It is self-paced. We will not have any formal lessons. I am available for tutoring sessions, though, if you need it! There will be a couple exercises that would be better to do in person, but we'll set them up as they come along.
- Please start from the beginning (7-10 weeks material) and PLEASE GO IN ORDER - don't skip around. KMODT is very sequential and all exercises and skills are dependent upon success with the ones before.
- The Quiet Time exercise is going to be one of the most important exercises you do! And you can't over-do it!
- Please look carefully at the 'Equipment You Will Want' section (it's towards the bottom on the left side). Ordering a check cord should be one of the first things you do.
We need to make sure that you are comfortable with using Blogger, so please post a photo (or 2) of you and your pup with a short introduction of yourself. Then also please post a video of the space you have at home (inside and outside) for training. We'd like it to be embedded rather than a link. If you need help with this, please let me know sooner rather than later.
