A place to learn how to effectively and fairly communicate with your new puppy. The weeks between 10 weeks old and 16 weeks old are microscopic window of time to layer in a obedience foundation
The order of teaching a puppy obedience commands is as follows:
1) Sit is taught first as it establishes owner's authority. AND every exercise begins first with the Sit so it must be done correctly so the subsequent exercises are then also done correctly.
2) The Stack Stand is taught second as it is about trust between the dog and their owner.
3) The Down is taught last as it is about the owner's right to dominate the dog. It is critical the Sit and Stand be previously taught to a puppy before attempting the Down.
