How does the "Place" command look for a trained dog, Boaz? for a still learning dog, Redd? Oh tons of cool applications

div>Oh tons of stuff. This is the "Place" command, that has been generalized by Boaz and Redd.

Boaz is demo'ing what can be done with an side stop on the white baseball mound, then I just cast him using "Place" and the correct hand signal. Obviously, in the field I would have used a Whistle Sit and a "Back", but what matters here is that the muscle memory is already formed in Boaz's mind and body and he can take a cast when directed to do so.

Redd has no experience or training yet with any casting work, so her "Place" is simply understood as 'Go to the location where the prior Place space was and where my body and mechanics are indicating to her what to target as the designated "Place". '   She needs encouragement so I repeat the command (which you CAN do with "Place" command) as well as giving her the word "Yes" to help bridge the gap from going and understanding she needs to continue to go.
